Tanjung Priok Sub-district Has 143 Posyandu

The Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta already has 143 integrated health services posts (posyandu) that spread in 89 RWs from 7 urban villages.

Tanjung Priok Sub-district Head, Syamsul Huda said those posyandu are the spearhead to monitor nutrition and infant health.

"I really appreciate all cadres working voluntarily in posyandu," he stated, Wednesday (4/5).

He expressed, the posyandu established cooperation with the community health center (puskesmas). Thus if there are infants or children experiencing health problems, they can quickly be handled. Thus, cases of malnourished children can be prevented.

"The cadres are routinely doing counseling and immunization program, as well as supplying extra supplement food," he said.
